About me & my business
I am a London based furniture maker, specialising in handmade, unique furniture. I've been a woodworker for the majority of my career. To begin with, I undertook a 4 year Coach Building Apprenticeship, which incorporated a lot of cabinet making to a high standard; this enabled me to develop the skills required for making quality furniture.
In 2003, I then started Shaker Maker Fine Furniture, where I have continued to enjoy the challenges involved in designing and making bespoke furniture which has allowed me to be involved in some very special projects. I strive to create unique furniture; combining aesthetic beauty with practical functionality. I work with a range of clients, each time producing some of the finest handcrafted pieces where your individual requirements are met, insuring high quality.
I use a mix of traditional and modern techniques to insure the best outcome; from design to installation.

The Process
I work in ranges of materials such as home grown timbers from the UK, as well as Europe and America. This also includes knife-cut & shop made veneers.
I use a full range of sheet materials, also being able to incorporate glass & metal into designs.
I make a full range of furniture; whether free standing or built-in also including joinery work. I use a full range of hard woods and veneers sourced ethically
My process begins as soon as you get in touch.
After initial contact, an appointment will be made to discuss the enquiry further, usually in the Manor Farm site where I am currently based.
When a brief is established, a quote will be available for further understanding of prices and budgets, this is agreed along with a timescale for the project. An initial deposit will be required to secure my time and drawings will be supplied.
My Workshop
My workshop is based in the 9th century 22 acre Manor Farm Heritage site in Ruislip, it incorporates a medieval farm complex, with The Old Barn, dating from the 13th century.
Manor Farm Ruislip is where I am based, my workshop is one of five within the grounds of the Manor Farm Heritage site, including The Great Barn; which is a grade II listed building. The whole site was refurbished with the aid of Lottery Heritage Funding.
